International Women’s Day – Forum for Women of the Caribbean – 7th March 2009

Forum for Women of the Caribbean is inviting sisters and brothers to its annual International Women’s Day gathering on Saturday 7 March 2009

Unite and celebrate!

An afternoon of discussion, music and food.

Topics to be discussed include:
* Bringing an end to violence against women and girls—what should be done now?
* Caribbean unity—will it help the advancement of women—is it possible or pointless?
* Potential or a pipedream?
* How do we prepare girls of African descent for the challenges of today’s society?
* The Obamas are in the White House—what does this mean to us?

Two-hour children’s themed arts & crafts workshop for 3 to 11 year olds.
£1 per child.
Limited spaces.
