Birds on Bikes Night Ride
7th March 2009 from 18:30 – 22:30
Ride starts 18:30 – 21:00. Social 21:00 – 10:30.
Venue: Dragon Hall, 17 Stukeley Street, London, WC2 5LT
The London Cycling Campaign will be holding a special ‘Birds on Bikes’ Night Ride Event in honour of International Women’s Day. Everyone is welcome at this event as it is to be ‘female focussed’ but not exclusive to females. We hope to attract a range of inspiring women from across the board to act as role models/cycling ambassadors on the ride. We encourage participants to bring their friends, colleagues and families to take to two wheels and light up the London streets with us, celebrating Women’s achievements over the past century!
We want to make the ride really visual, so fancy dress, bikes draped in fairy lights etc. All ideas very welcome, the more creative the better! For those who dont own bikes, they can be hired for just £12 from Simon at www.gopedal.co.uk quoting “Birds on Bikes”.
We will be meeting at Dragon Hall, 17 Stukeley Street, London. After the ride there will be an opportunity to meet other riders at the Dragon Hall venue. Bring a bottle! Booze can be stored at the venue during the ride to be enjoyed afterwards.
To register on this free ride email alison@lcc.org.uk and spread the word, everyone is welcome!!!
Organised by London Cycling Campaign (LCC): A grass roots community based organisation working to make London a world class cycling city by increasing cycling and providing the best possible services for people who cycle. More information at http://http://www.lcc.org.uk
